“As iron
sharpens iron, so one man sharpens
another.”
Proverbs
27:17
“Be on
guard, stand firm in the faith; be men of good courage, be strong.
Do everything in love.”
1
Corinthians 16:13
It’s not easy
being a man in a culture that is not sure what manliness is. We need
to rediscover what it means to be the men that God intended – for the
sake of our wives, children, and our nation.
Manly Events
Men’s Prayer Breakfast
Every Thursday morning 6 AM.
Men gather together to start their work day off right by joining in
fellowship, reflecting on the Scriptures and uniting in prayer.
Contact Kirk Beshore for information.
Men’s Accountability /
Fellowship
Meeting together once a month,
the men gather for personal sharing and testimony as well as for just a
plain ol’ good time. The
men are offered an opportunity to pair up with an accountability partner
with whom they can meet on a more personal level for prayer and
encouragement as well as help in discovering Biblical solutions to life’s
adventures. Contact Tony
Robinette for more information.
Raceway Ministries
In coordination with our stat
association, the opportunity exists for men (and women) to serve in
evangelistic projects at Dover Downs during the Bush and Winston Cup
races. Always a blast –
call the church office for more information 378-5416.
Manly Acts of Service
The men of Fair Haven are
always quick to be of service to those in and outside of our church
family. Moving days, for
example, have historically become a day of fun and fellowship.
Other ideas have included a car checkup ministry to the elderly and
single moms.
Home Groups
What’s more manly than
leading your family in prayer, Bible study and community service?
Find out more about our weekly meetings from Kirk Beshore.
Family Campout
Bring your family, or just
yourself, to our annual Fall family Campout.
“rough It” in tents gathered around a campfire for a time of
fun and fellowship. Locations
vary from year to year and the campout usually happens in late September
or early October. Call the
church office for more information 378-5416.
Fishing Trip
The one you’ve been waiting
for! The men of Fair Haven go on at least one (sometimes two)
overnight fishing trips each year. We
camp out under the stars and take some boats with us for some major bass
fishin’. Nothing beats
hanging out with the men around the campfire after a day of fishing,
reflecting on how God has influenced our lives.
Consider joining us on our next trip – you’ll be glad that you
did.
Men Specific Studies
Every now and then a
men-specific study may arise that is outside the scope of the above-listed
ministries. Check the Church Calendar for updates.
